International update from Sue Giles AM – President ASSITEJ International
Greetings to you all across Australia and in all the various stages of lockdown or otherwise. We’re thinking always of those who’ve had to cancel, shut down or postpone art in this time and know the terrible drain on spirit, mind and body this creates.
Our ASSITEJ colleagues across the world are also coping with enormous challenges and our aim in this time is to make connection possible through conversation online, and find ways to assist and support with resources, collaboration and sharing of practice.
We’d love to hear of discussions, presentations and research underway – ways to share the deeper conversations that help us all with advocacy for this sector.
ASSITEJ Executive Committee – new working groups
The Executive Committee of ASSITEJ is divided into 4 working groups – Policies and Protocols, Networking, Communications and Assitej online. The new working groups recognise the changes in our sector and the way the world works, including responding to an increased desire to meet and talk. Our next offer to the community is a series of online conversations in September, October and November – stay tuned. https://www.assitej-international.org/en/
