Intro to Rigging for Circus & Physical Theatre Workshop

TNA is holding a series of free intensives for Circus Riggers, as part of the Victorian Circus Rigger Training Program.

The Intro to Rigging workshop introduces aspiring, early-career or inexperienced riggers to basic circus rigging concepts, techniques and equipment. Participants are not required to be ticketed for this workshop, The facilitators are: Geoff Dunstan, Beau Dudding and a guest rigger from NICA. Learn about things like: 

  • Knots and ropes
  • Carabiners 
  • Ratchet straps 
  • Slings and climbing tapes 
  • Clamps 
  • Truss 
  • Emergency descending 
  • Manufacturer’s specifications 
  • Tie off points (Cletes, Gri Gri, Rig, Rescue 8’s). 

Date: Sunday 10 November, 9:30am–4:30pm 
Venue: Rehearsal Room 2, 35B Johnston Street Collingwood 
Who can register to attend: people currently enrolled in a rigging training course or with an interest and basic understanding of circus rigging. 

This workshop is free, subsidised by TNA and Ruccis.
