National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) Graduate Award 2024

We’re pleased to announce the recipient of NICA’s Graduate Award for 2024, sponsored by TNA. The award recognises excellence in a graduating student, in their pursuit of becoming an outstanding Australian artist. TNA provides a $250 cash prize and mentorship for the recipient.

The recipient of the NICA Graduate Award 2024 is Jesse Holden. Congratulations Jesse!

Jesse Holden is a dynamic and versatile circus artist based in Melbourne, Australia. As a multi-disciplinary performer, Jesse specializes in Chinese pole, hoop diving and juggling, with tumbling and German wheel as additional performance skills. A graduate of the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne, Jesse holds both a Certificate IV and a Bachelor of Arts in Circus Arts. His extensive training and dedication to his craft are evident in his captivating and high-energy acts. Jesse has been performing from an early age in the act he founded with his brother: Brothers OnFire. More recently, he has showcased his talents at The Red Ball, with The Children’s Advisory – A Cabaret for Kids, and in Three Four with the Jugglers of NICA, as well as for private clients. He played key roles in the NICA ensemble shows Can You Hear Us, Within These Walls and Famous as well as solo performances in Full Disclosure and MUSE.
