Dance Makers Collective and GUTS Dance, in partnership with TNA, are facilitating an in-person Perth Dance Sector Gathering.

This is a third of a series of gatherings we are convening around the country, and responds directly to one of the recommendations made in our Independent Dance Sector Report, published in April 2024.

The first two dance gatherings have now taken place: in Sydney on 16 Oct 2024 and Melbourne on 7 Nov 2024. You can read the summary reports from each of those gatherings.

This third gathering in Perth will be facilitated by Carl Sciberras (General Manager, Dance Makers Collective) and Frankie Snowdon (Co-Artistic Director, GUTS Dance). It will bring independents and organisations together to discuss which recommendations in the Report are most relevant in the Perth context, and how we as a sector want to prioritise and drive forward. We will create space to gain greater transparency and understanding between the different parts of our sector ecology, acknowledging that times are challenging for all of us, and that coming together will generate the best outcomes.
