TNA CaPT Bulletin – July 2021

In this bulletin, we look at opportunities to build and strengthen; circus skills, producing skills, communities and companies. We are even building a brand new database.

Hello Friends,

And so we continue – continue to face disappointment, to do – undo – and do again, to wait out lockdowns and the dreariness of winter, but yet we keep marching on and against all odds we are still performing, innovating and bouncing back.

This bulletin is for you, so please feel free to send through updates and opportunities to me here at steph@tna.org.au or drop a line to tell me what information you are keen to see land in your inbox.

Take care,
Steph Cox and the TNA Team

TNA NEWS & UPDATES

CaPT Performing Company Database

In exciting news TNA are currently working to launch a brand new website – this will bring a fresh look and deliver a new platform for engaging with and advocating for the CaPT sector.

As part of this development we will be creating a living database to capture our small, medium and large performing circus and physical theatre companies. This will provide a snapshot of our companies for presenter and programmers, funding bodies and aspiring artists. We hope this will increase the visibility of both individual companies but also the sector as a whole.

To add your performing company to the data base – enter your key details through our database portal.  Then keep a look out over the next couple of months for our website release!

We also encourage companies to become TNA members at the same time to be part of the TNA network.

Victorian Circus & Physical Theatre Producer Club

Introducing the ‘Producers Club’ for Victorian Circus and Physical theatre producers. A bi-monthly session at the TNA saloon (in Melbourne), to meet, have a tea and biscuit, work through challenges and share successes with a bunch of like-minded and experienced folk.

Bespoke to the most urgent needs, skills, and conversations that the participants have identified for their producing practice. Sessions will be partly facilitated and partly driven by the participants – blending conversation with dedicated work sessions. There will also be an opportunity for participants to get supported with business-like advice on topics like superannuation and industry standard rates.

There will be separate sessions for emerging and established producers. Whilst density restriction remain, participation will be via expression of interest and require an RSVP ahead of each session.

If you are interested, please fill in this brief expression of interests form (there is no closing date). Any questions or to discuss accessibility and support please email steph@tna.org.au

VIPI Producer Program

The Victorian Independent Producers Initiative (VIPI) supports independent producers, and through them, independent artists and companies in the performing arts, based in Victoria.

TNA invites you to attend an Online Info Session to learn about Round 3 of the VIPI Producers Mentorship Program and for a brief update on the Unlocking Capacity grants. This event will take place on Zoom on Tuesday 6 July at 12-1pm AEST.
Please book through Trybooking: https://www.trybooking.com/BSQJL

You are able to indicate access requirements as part of the booking process. If you are unable to make it, the event will be recorded and the video made available on the TNA website. For any further information please check our website or contact Rani Pramesti (she/they) our Program Producer at rani@tna.org.au
