ATO has removed the $2 donation threshold for tax deductions (National)
This change took effect from 1 July 2026 but is backdated and applies from 1 July 2024.

Eight week development laboratory for artists and creative technologists with a connection to Parramatta to develop work. Includes $3,200 , mentoring, studio time, and a public showing.

4 Sep | Workshop with artistic director of Force Majeure Nick Power (QLD)
A workshop at Studio1 exploring choreographic tools and techniques to create work. Includes info on funding, articulating your work, and grant-writing.

6 Sep | First Peoples Advisory Group for the Office of the Arts (National)
Paid advisory roles for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability who have experience in the arts, screen, digital games or cultural sectors. To advise on implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities under Equity: the Arts and Disability Associated Plan.

6 Sep | Staging the World Development Program (NSW)
Connects artists of colour with acclaimed creatives through mentorship, collaboration and creative exchange. Amy Sole, Wiradjuri/Worimi playwright, director, actor, dramaturg and advocate is lead facilitator.

6 Sep | Heartland Festival Supper Club EOIs (NSW)
A lo-fi scratch night hosted by Nancy Denis on 29 November at Riverside Live at PHIVE. Fee of $500 per collaborator, capped at 5 collaborators per project.

7 Sep | Sydney Theatre Company Richard Wherrett Fellowship (NSW)
A year-long paid position for an emerging director to work across the operations of Sydney Theatre Company.

10 Sep | Propel: Performance Pathways • $8,000 to develop work (NSW)
Supports Blue Mountains and Western Sydney artists. Provides space, mentorship, networking, and a stipend of $8,000 to develop work in the region.

10 Sep | Creative Learning Residencies • Up to $20,000 for artists in residence (WA)
Supports 25 days of paid engagement with a school, up to $20,000. Residencies can be between artists or creative organisations and schools.

13 Sep | VOICES: Unbound • $5,000 to develop new work (NSW)
$5,000 commission for Central Coast artists, plus mentorship, production support, space, and a public presentation.

14 Sep | Arts Access Victoria Stella Young Award 2026 (National)
$3,000 award for a young disabled artist aged 16–30. The award recognises impact of disability activism through artistic practice.

A residency opportunity for Australian writers in Rome. Duration can be one, three or six months.

15 Sep | Helsinki International Artist Programme (International)
Three-month residency with $15,000 grant. Includes time and space for open-ended research and experimentation on Suomenlinna island in Helsinki.

15 Sep | Creative Australia Matched Funding (National)
Supports artists and orgs to develop their fundraising capability with matched funding. Split across beginner, intermediate, and advanced streams. Includes training and support.

15 Sep | First Nations Arts and Culture Business Innovation Award (National)
A $25,000 award which recognises innovation and excellence in entrepreneurship among small to medium Australian First Nations arts and culture businesses and arts organisations.

15 Sep | First Peoples Red Ochre Award (Lifetime Achievement) (National)
Four Awards valued at $80,000 each for senior First Nations artists and cultural workers with thirty or more years of continued artistic practice. Nominations are accepted from arts organisations and individuals.

15 Sep | First Nations Arts d/Deaf and/or Disabilities Project Fund • $10,000.00 for projects and professional development (National)
Can be delivered nationally or internationally. Artists, orgs, and arts workers can apply.

16 Sep | PAC Australia Board Nominations (National)
PAC Australia are seeking diverse individuals with a background in finance, governance, human resources, legal or fundraising/development to join their board.

18 Sep | Public Consultation for the Occupation Standard Classification for Australia (OSCA) (National)
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is updating Occupation Standard Classification for Australia (OSCA). OSCA is used by the ABS for all their data collection and analysis. Submit your feedback to make sure jobs in the arts are represented.

18 Sep | City of Sydney creative workers survey (NSW)
For creative practitioners in Greater Sydney to share their experience of making and hosting work. Results will support advocacy and inform policy.

18 Sep | C.R.U.S.H Workshops and scholarships (QLD)
3 days of workshops on contemporary movement, performance and theatre making for all bodies, minds and levels of artistic experience. A scholarship of $2,000 is available for artists with disability or who are D/deaf to cover travel, accommodation, and attendance fees.

18 Sep | Creative Hobart Small and Medium Grants (TAS)
$5,000 for small orgs and $15,000 for medium orgs to deliver one-off cultural activities. Must take place in the Hobart municipal area and contribute to Hobart as a creative city.

21 Sep | Arts Queensland Project Fund • $70,000 for new work (QLD)

28 Sep | CreateSA Independent Artists and Groups Grants (SA)
Supports the development, production and presentation of new works by artists and groups. Research projects are eligible but public outcome is necessary.

28 Sep | CreateSA Biennial Project (SA)
Supports the creation of new work by professional artists and groups or unfunded orgs. Funds are received over two years. No public outcome necessary.

28 Sep | CreateSA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Project Grants (SA)
$25,000.00 for the development, production and presentation of new work. Individual artists, groups and orgs can apply.

28 Sep | CreateSA Fellowships (SA)
$50,000.00 to undertake creative development that contributes to the cultural ecology in SA. Can include developments or research. Does not need to have a public outcome.

28 Sep | CreateSA Market Development (SA)
Supports artists and orgs to build a national and international profile through the development of relationships and market opportunities.

28 Sep | CreateSA Professional Development (SA)
Up to $15,000 for skills development and training for artists and arts workers.

29 Sep | Creative Australia’s Creative Futures Fund (National)
Supports bold new work that tells Australian stories. Focus on scale, ambition and impact. Funding amounts available of up to $1,500,000.

29 Sep | Creative Australia Leadership Skills Workshops (National)
A free two-day, in-person leadership skills workshop. For mid-career and established leaders and managers in Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart and Melbourne. Practice crisis management, capacity building, and stakeholder relationship building.

30 Sep | Study on nightlife and cabaret pay rates (Online)
Kitty Obsidian, Pip Stachio and Dominica De La Muerte are conducting an anonymous survey on pay in the nightlife and cabaret scene. They want to publish a document about the state of the sector to help with advocacy.

30 Sep | USA Australia emerging artists Fund (International)
Up to USD $5,000 for artistic development in the US

30 Sep | The Hamer Sprout Fund (National)
Up to $5,000 for projects which advocate for environmental sustainability, foster collaboration between young people in environmental leadership, and more.

1 Oct | Indie Arts Foundation – Small Grants for Young and/or Emerging Artists (SA)
$1,000 to individuals and $5,000 to groups for professional development or projects. Emerging artist is defined as within first five years of practice. Must be a resident of SA or have lived there for at least one year.

25 Nov | NORPA’s GROUNDSWELL • A symposium for innovation in place-based practice (NSW)
A national artist-led symposium exploring innovation in place-based creative practices in regional Australia. Includes case studies, workshops, discussions and landscape-based experiences. Cost: $155 for individuals and $190 for funded companies
