TNA is pleased to announce that we will be presenting the seventh Australian Performing Arts Forum (formerly ATF) from 13-15 September 2023 in Brisbane in association with Brisbane Festival and Brisbane Powerhouse. APAF is a national gathering for practitioners, producers and cultural provocateurs in theatre, circus, dance, hybrid and interdisciplinary work.

Times: APAF will start mid morning on Wednesday 13th September, and run until mid-late afternoon on Friday 15th, ending no later than 5pm. The evenings will be free-time and we encourage you to stay on for the weekend of Brisbane Festival shows. 

Registration: TNA will once again be running an Expression of Interest process for Independent artists and arts workers to attend for a heavily discounted price. Prices for companies will also be kept as low as possible. Discounts for TNA members will apply. Registration will open mid year. 

Program: As always, APAF will be programmed with a wide variety of formats, with as many small group sessions and networking opportunities as possible. Sanja will be talking to the sector over the coming months to ensure the forum represents a full breadth of issues and topics. In the meantime, you can add your ideas to this survey form.

Access: Along with keeping the prices affordable, TNA will provide Auslan interpreters, quiet rooms, and other support. We are currently working through what APAF’s hybrid/digital offering will be.

TNA will be working with state and territory funders to seek support for independents.
