Coming to Visit

Theatre Network Australia is located at Level 1 at the Victorian Trades Hall building in Carlton. 

Enter via the main Lygon Street portico entrance. There is a wheelchair lift into the building located on the right of the steps. There are two ways to get to our office:

By lift: walk straight through the main reception, which will take you to an outdoor courtyard. If you turn right, there will be a set of doors and a lift. This lift will take you to Level 1. Turn right as you exit the lift. There should be a flight of stairs in front of you, the Melbourne Fringe Common Rooms on the left, and the ETU Ballroom on the right. Turn right and walk through the ETU Ballroom, which leads directly onto a corridor, past Melbourne Fringe. Our office is right at the end.  

By stairs: once you're inside the main Lygon Street entrance, follow the corridor on the left. Walk through the set of doors, turn left, and walk through another set of doors. Follow the stairs up to Level 1. Turn left again, down the corridor. Our office is at the end. 

Public Transport

  • There are a number of trams near Trades Hall. Tram route numbers 1, 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67, and 72 travel along Swanston Street. Stop 7: RMIT University and Stop 4: Queensberry Street are both 450 metres from Trades Hall, or approximately a 6 minute walk. Both tram stops are accessible platform stops. 
  • Other nearby tram routes include the 30 and 35 which travel along Latrobe Street. Stop 7: Russell Street & Latrobe Street is approximately a 5 minute walk. This tram stop is an accessible platform stop. 
  • By train: the Melbourne Central Station and Parkville Station are the closest train stations to Trades Hall. Melbourne Central Station is approximately a 13 minute walk, and Parkville Station is approximately a 22 minute walk.
