CaPT Independent Producers Initiative (CIPI)

Modelled on TNA’s successful Victorian Independent Producers Initiative (VIPI), this initiative supports CaPT independent producers across Australia who work with artists in and from Victoria. It will increase the size and the diversity of the CaPT producing pool and includes two of the three core components from VIPI: the Emerging Producers Lab and the Salon Series, along with a program of peer coaching sessions for artists.

This initiative has a dedicated Program Producer on the CaPT Team. If you have questions about any of these programs, please email Charice on charice@tna.org.au.

CaPT Salon Series

The Salon Series includes professional development sessions, networking and peer learning for the wider Victorian CaPT sector. The series responds to the most urgent skill requirements and provides a forum for conversations about the future of the sector. The Series includes professional development sessions and workshops, gatherings, and peer learning for the wider Victorian CaPT sector across 18 months.

CaPT Mentoring Program

The CaPT Mentoring Program offers free one-on-one support for 10 circus and physical theatre artists and producers who are each matched with an experienced practitioner to discuss career planning, business planning, work-life balance support or network building. Both the mentee and mentor are paid for their time. The application process is simple and prioritises people from under-represented groups.

Round 1 of the CaPT Mentoring Program ran at our Producing Fundamentals event in July 2023.
Round 2 of Mentoring Program will take place on Thursday 18th April.

Emerging Producers Lab

The Emerging Producers Lab supports four emerging producers in the CaPT sector, facilitating their professional development and capacity to work with CaPT artists and organisations. The Lab consists of 10 professional development workshops over 12 months bespoke to the most urgent needs, skills and conversations that the participants have identified.
