“The highly anticipated announcement of final round RISE fund recipients is here, with the results reflecting the program’s consistently broad reach.

However, as Executive Director of Theatre Network Australia Nicole Beyer told ArtsHub recently, the arts sector’s pathway to a sustained COVID recovery will require more investment in arts infrastructure and skills, alongside the assistance of RISE, to get projects and performances back in front of full houses.

‘[Investment] has to be for [sector] infrastructure,’ Beyer explained. ‘We’ve lost companies, we’ve lost jobs, we’ve lost skills, and we need those things to be rebuilt,’ she said.”
