Independent Dance Sector Report: Launch Webinar

Carl Sciberras, Joshua Lowe, and Frankie Snowdon invite you as a member of the national dance sector to attend a one-hour webinar to launch the release of the Independent Dance Sector Report.

Monday April 29th
8:30am (Perth – AWST), 10:00am (Adelaide/Darwin – ACST), 10:30am (Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane – AEST)
This event has already taken place – watch the video recording.

The Independent Dance Sector Report is a scan of the national independent dance sector, co-authored by Carl, Joshua, and Frankie. The report includes a clear definition of the sector, key issues affecting the sector, and recommendations to address these. It was informed by a national survey, consultation with independent artists, organisations, and Creative Australia, and the authors’ experience as dance artists and organisation leaders.

The report will be used to prompt conversations between the different levels of sector ecology, identify stakeholders that can lead or contribute to implementing the recommendations, and clarify where additional support is needed.

The report will be published on April 29th at 9am AEST. The webinar will be an opportunity to hear from the co-authors about the findings of the report in more detail, its intended use, and the next steps. There will also be time for a Q&A.

This work has been supported by Creative Australia through the Leadership Program Alumni Fund, Theatre Network Australia, Dance Makers Collective, and GUTS Dance.
