Frequently Asked Questions

Registrations aren’t open yet for Leaps and Bounds, do I have to register before applying?
You can apply for this bursary before registering for Leaps and Bounds, but by applying for the bursary you are committing to registering and attending if you are the recipient.

If I have already booked and paid for my accommodation and/or flights, can I still apply?

Yes – the bursary can be used to reimburse you for expenses already incurred.

I am attending as part of a pitching company; can I apply for a bursary?
If you meet the eligibility criteria above you are still welcome to apply, regardless of whether you will be pitching or attending as a delegate.

I’ll be going to Adelaide anyway, am I still eligible?
The intention of this bursary is to support individuals who might otherwise not be able to attend, and to alleviate financial burdens on independents and small companies. If you are already going to Adelaide you are not necessarily ineligible, but if you are being supported to attend through a production, job or company, we ask you to use your honest judgement about whether your situation fits the spirit of this bursary.

I’m going with another person – can we apply together and split it between us?
No, this bursary is only for one person.

I’m facing other barriers, can I spend the money on those things instead?
This bursary is intended to reduce barriers associated with attending this industry event, so we allow the recipient to identify the access & equity barriers most relevant to them.

Do I have to acquit the bursary?
The recipient will need to provide a testimonial including an account of how the bursary was used tp reduce access & equity barriers and attend this event.

If you have any other questions, please email Steph on steph@tna.org.au
