Advocacy

Advocacy

TNA’s advocacy provides a voice for the performing arts, prioritising independents and small to medium companies. We do this in eight key ways:

  1. Campaigns on cultural policy issues
  2. Meetings with agencies (eg. Australia Council)
  3. Liaison with politicians and advisors
  4. Representing issues to political inquiries
  5. Collaborating with our advocacy partners
  6. Representing the sector in the media
  7. Research and Reports
  8. Advocacy tools and resources

Advocacy Toolkit

Advocacy is an amazing tool for creating positive change and outcomes, and a way to make best use of our democratic institutions. However, it's often difficult to know where to start, what's possible, and what works best. TNA's Advocacy Toolkit starts at the very beginning, aims to empower artists and arts workers, and gives them the tools to be effective advocates, both for themselves and for the arts sector as a whole.
