Art & Culture Thunderclap

As you may have seen, TNA, in partnership with fifteen other national arts peak bodies, is running an Art & Culture Messaging Campaign to increase visibility and demonstrate unity in our broad sector in the lead up to the Federal election.

We all need to work together to help our sector.

Sunday March 27th is World Theatre Day, and we want to use this day to flood social media with messages in a sector-wide thunderclap – this is where everyone shares the same/similar post at the same time.

We are asking people to commit to the very simple act of sharing a post at 10am (AEDT) Sunday March 27th.

What to do:

  1. Read about the details of the campaign, including images and templates you can download.
  2. Decide on what you are going to post. You can:
    a. Just hit share on one of the Facebook posts TNA has already shared.
    b. Download one of the pre-made posts or banners and share your own post.
    c. Download a template and create a post or banner with your own image (Canva tutorial here).
  3. Share your post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and/or LinkedIn at 10am (AEDT) on March 27th. You can make it even easier by scheduling a post in advance!
  4. Don’t forget to use the hashtags #ArtAndCultureAreEverywhere, #ArtAndCultureAreEssential, and #VoteForArt, and tag Theatre Network Australia if you like!

We would love to hear from anyone, whether it’s an email saying you’re planning to share a post, any questions you have, or if you need help creating a post.

This is just one small piece of a larger campaign to push for a commitment to a National Cultural Plan, which will provide a framework for greater support for every artist and organisation in our sector.
