SAFE THEATRES

Safe workplaces for all, free from harassment, bullying and other behaviours that create unsafe workplaces.

TNA partners with Safe Theatres Australia to strengthen and build greater resilience in the performing arts sector through safe workplaces.

The rollout of national workshops follows a commitment made by TNA after the inaugural Safe Theatres Forum run by Safe Theatres Australia’s Eryn Jean Norvill and Sophie Ross in 2018, and a second Forum in 2019. Our goal is to further equip the performing arts sector with a practical understanding of the issues, resources available, legislative environment, and what their role is in addressing harassment and bullying in our industry.

This partnership is supported by the Myer Fund, along with TNA’s core funding from the Australia Council and Creative Victoria.
